“They explained everything to my parents in Spanish — for the first time, my mom understood her own Medicare plan.”— Maria R., Lafayette

Insurance shouldn't be lost in translation.

Zerep Insurance Agency was founded by Fabian and Isabel Perez to fill a gap they saw across Acadiana: Latino families being sold insurance by people who didn't speak their language, didn't understand their needs, and weren't honest about what plans really covered.

We're independent — meaning we work for you, not for one insurance company. We compare plans across 40+ carriers and recommend what genuinely fits your budget and your doctors.

1

Bilingual, by people who get it

Every conversation, every form, every plan document — explained in English or Spanish, however you're most comfortable.

2

Independent, not captive

We're contracted with 40+ carriers across Louisiana. You get the right plan, not the only plan.

3

Always free for you

Our service costs you nothing. Carriers compensate us when you enroll — your premium is the same either way.

Three steps. That's it.

No applications to fill out alone. No 50-page brochures. Just a conversation, a comparison, and the right plan.

Schedule your free call

Pick a time that works — phone, video, or in person at our Lafayette office. About 20–30 minutes. We listen first.

We compare your options

We pull your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget — then run them against every plan available to you. We bring you 2–3 best fits.

You decide. We enroll.

When you choose your plan, we handle the paperwork, the carrier communication, and the activation — and we stay your point of contact every year after.

Schedule Free Consultation

Questions, answered honestly.

Do I really pay nothing for your help?

Correct. Our compensation comes from the insurance carrier when you enroll in a plan — never from you. Your monthly premium is the same whether you enroll directly with the carrier or through us, so there's no reason not to use a licensed agent.

¿Hablan español? — Yes, fully.

Every member of our team is bilingual. We do consultations in Spanish, send plan summaries in Spanish, and stay your year-round contact in Spanish. Our founders Fabian and Isabel built Zerep specifically to serve Spanish-speaking families.

What if I don't have legal status — can I still get coverage?

Marketplace and Medicare plans require lawful presence in the U.S., but private health and life insurance options exist for non-citizens. Bring whatever documents you have to the consultation — we'll tell you honestly what you qualify for, with no judgment.

When can I enroll in Medicare or ACA?

Medicare has annual enrollment periods (October 15 – December 7) and special enrollment windows when you turn 65, lose other coverage, or qualify for Medicaid. ACA Marketplace open enrollment runs November through January, with year-round Special Enrollment for life events like marriage, a new baby, or losing job-based coverage. Schedule a call and we'll tell you exactly which window applies to you.

Do I have to switch plans every year?

No — but you should review. Plans change their drug formularies, networks, and prices every year. We do a free annual review with every client to make sure your current plan is still the best fit. If it is, you stay. If something better has come out, we switch you.
